"Yayoi Kusama. A Retrospective" présente de nouveaux documents de recherche et d'archives révolutionnaires, y compris des photographies et des films. Celles-ci se concentrent sur les expositions de Kusama au début des années 1960 en Allemagne et en Europe, ainsi que sur un large éventail d'aspects de son œuvre, qui s'étend sur une période de plus de soixante-dix ans. De nouveaux essais de onze auteurs réputés donnent un aperçu du travail de Kusama de divers points de vue, avec des perspectives qui ont été précédemment négligées.
